Sculptor

This site shows work by British sculptor Benedict Carpenter.

Benedict was awarded the Jerwood Sculpture Prize in 2001, and is currently working on a project for the Jerwood Gallery Hastings, due to be completed in 2011. He has completed sited sculptures for clients including the Arts Council, Commissions North (2005), and La Asociación para el Desarrollo Integrado del Cabo Peñas (2009).

Other projects include a solo exhibition of sculpture at Galerie Patricia Ferdinand-Ude, Germany (2005), and the collaborative work Swansong (Schwanengesang) with the Centre of Attention, which was shown at Mousonturm, Frankfurt (2004) and Always a Little Further, Venice Biennale, Italy (2005). He has had work commissioned by the British Art Medal Society (2011), and several of his drawings are published in the book Drawing Projects: An Exploration of the Language of Drawing (2011).
